Cammy's JOY and my love of Purple

Greetings!

I love purple!  To me purple is such a regal color.  My co-workers call me purple lady.  My office has something purple on every surface.  I will often get little tokens of purple love in the mail from my co-workers.  Well, today I want to share some more purple love with you.  Over at Mo's DP Challenge blog they are having a pick a season card challenge.  I decided to choose Winter...more specifically Christmas season.  I used Mo's adorable Cammy, because I can relate to this image.  When I was a little girl my parents would give me and my siblings stockings for Christmas.  They couldn't afford to buy all of us toys, because there were so many of us, so they would make sure that we each had our very own stockings.  We would find the stocking filled with candy, nuts, fruit and one small toy.  (I believe I mentioned this before.)

Well, here's my Cammy...all decked out in purple on Christmas morning. TFL!

The inside of the card has a sentiment I wrote that says:

A stocking filled with love and care
will bring you joy throughout the year.

I know that me and my siblings had lots of joy after getting our stockings.

Create w/ TLC: "What's Hop pening"

Greetings! (or what's "hop" pening?)

The Holidays are fast approaching us and I'm always looking for the perfect gift to give.  I seem to have a difficult time shopping for men versus women. *surprise* lol  Therefore, the men in my life usually end up with gift cards.  I was playing around the other night with paper and came up with this gift card.  I decided that Paulette's cute vintage frog image would go perfectly with this gift card holder.  It will make a perfect stocking stuffer for a male co-worker.  Here's the pics...

You should hop over (*giggl*) to Paulette's store and pick up this adorable digi and sentiment, as well check out the other images (all with sentiments) that you create your own (reasonable) price.  Okay people, there is no where else online where you can decide how much you pay!!

Inktegrity DT Hump Day Challenge #20: Anything Goes

Greetings!

I love taking train rides.  I've gone to Chicago several times on a train and also to Mississippi a couple of times.  I get a lot of reading done and see a lot of sites when I'm taking the train.

Well, my love for trains inspired my next card.  I used Inktegrity's ChooChoo train to create this tri-fold card with a twist.

I have lots of plans for this set.  However, I'll show you those at another time. :-)  Make sure you stop by the challenge blog and submit your entry for a chance to win $5 gift certificate to the Inktegrity store where you can purchase this adorable ChooChoo set (comes with a bunch of cool sentiments).   I created the sentiment for this card, because I included pumpkins and apples in my train.

I hope you are all crafting away.  I wanted to take a moment to share with you a side step card that I created for Create w/TLC.  For those of you who aren't familiar with Paulette's blog, please make sure you stop by and let Paulette know I sent you, because she has awesome wordart and some digis.  She does at least one freebie a day based off the happenings of the calendar.  You would be surprised (at least I am) that there is something being celebrated all year round.

Anyways, this is a vintage digi and sentiment that she created and I turned into a card.  TFL and make sure you visit Paulette over at Create w/TLC, because you will not be disappointed!

I actually love how the card turned out and the color combo, which I would have never thougth of.  I will post the recipe later, because I don't remember all the deets.

Inktegrity's Hump Day Challenge #19: Sketch

Greetings!

It's time for a new challenge over on the Inktegrity DT Challenge blog.  Congratulations to last week's winner Scrappy of It's A Scrappy World!

This week is a sketch challenge and the card I created for this challenge is extra special to me because of the image I chose to use to create it.  I chose to use "Candy the squirrel."  Now mind you Candy isn't named after me, at least I don't think so, but we do have a lot in common.  We are both brown, we have big cheeks, and while I prefer my nuts drenched in chocolate and caramel we do have the love of nuts in common, too. *giggl*  Here's my sketch inspiration and my card.  TFL!

Now I've shown you my card...show me what you can do.  Head over to the challenge blog and enter for your chance to win a $5 shopping spree to the Inktegrity store

A Day for Daisies "Vanity"

Greetings!

Today I am going to share two cards with you using the same image.  When I first saw this image in Tammy's store, I immediately pictured it colored two different ways and I even knew what sentiments I wanted to put with them.  (Pause:  I have to thank Paulette at TLC Creations for consistently reading my mind and creating sentiments for me before I know I need them. *giggl*)  Okay, back to the cards.  Well, I had an opportunity to just sit down and create.  I loved how they both turned out and I hope you do too.  TFL!

These cards are totally different from what I usually create.  Tammy's images seems to bring out the softer side of me. lol  Again, thanks for looking.

FUN GAME...Happy Hunting!

Greetings!

Do you remember in the doctor or dentist office they had those books where you had to count how many things were in a picture or what was different about two pictures?  Well, after I created my card using the Inktegrity Tractor image it made me think of how much fun I had with those books.  Here's the card I made using the versatile tractor image.  I also used 2 other Inktegrity images (other than the tractor) in this card.  The first person that can identify all of them correctly will get a freebie from me!  So head over to the store to identify the other images.  Happy Hunting!

Again, good luck and leave your email in the comments to collect your freebie.  Also, don't forget about the challenge that is taking place over on the Hump Day Challenge blog

Greetings!!

Today starts a brand new challenge over at "a day for daises."  Get spooky in honor of the season! Use as much black as possible! There’s black paper, black paint, black glitter, and black ribbon… it won’t be easy but lets’ see how dark you can be!

The challenge begins today (October 15, 2010) and will close on November 4th at Midnight PST. So that means you have a whole two weeks to play along!

The winner will recieve; 2 digi images of their choice from ADayForDaisies.com, their image and blog link featured on our home page, an exclusive Flower Basket winner’s badge, and their image archived among the amazing talent in our sketchbook! The winner will be announced on Friday, November 5th. All you have to do is upload your entry at the end of this post to link up your entry!

If you visit the challenge blog, you can pick up an adorable freebie witch to use in the challenge.

Here's my creation.  I guess I am a literal kind of girl so I of course I challenged myself to go completely black and almost accomplished the tasked.  I title this card "Little black dress," because I don't celebrate Halloween; however, this dress reminds me of the bride of Frankstein's wedding dress.  TFL!

"Hay Pumpkin"

Greetings!

I hope you are enjoying your Saturday!  I know I did.  We're having a little Indian Summer.  I never knew why they called it "Indian" Summer, but I sure love them!  I have been sharing with you some new releases from Inktegrity and I have some more.  This may be one of my favorites.  It is the cutest little Tractor I ever did see and what makes it even better is that you can add on to the tractor.

I used the adorable tractor added some hay and then some pumpkins...Hay Pumpkin. lol  I love how Joni has made this so versatile.  This would make a great little boy's card.  You can pick these cute digis up from the Inktegrity store tomorrow.  I would love to see what you come up with.  TFL!  Oh yeah, don't forget to enter the challenge going on right now.  You can find deets at the top of my blog under the Inktegrity page.

Inktegrity Hump Day Challenge #17: Sketch

Greetings!

There's a lot going on over at Inktegrity's blog.  First of all it is time for a new challenge.  Congrats to Marion E. for winning the last challenge!  This week's challenge is a sketch challenge.  Aren't sketch challenges fun?  I mean you don't have to figure out how to config your card you just have to choose your color combo (which is the most difficult part for me).  Anyways, here's the sketch and my take on it.

I love this dog and I imagine if I had a dog he would be really smart, because I am always in school or reading two or three books at one time. lol  The second card that I would like to share with you is from Inktegrity's new Release "Apple Basket."  I wanted to do a different type of card so I decided to do the hinged card using this adorable set.

Don't they look yummy?  Wouldn't they look even more yummy if they were drizzled with caramel, chocolate and sprinkled with nuts. lol  MMmm.  This adorable set (digi and sentiment) will not be available for puchase until October 10th, but it is definitely a must-have!  You can stop by the Inktegrity store and find several other must-haves.

Inktegrity's Sneak Peek Preview

Greetings!

Over at Inktegrity's blog, we are giving you a sneak peek at the new release "Pumpkin House," which will be avaialbe for purchase on October 10th.  I squealed over this cutie and couldn't wait to use it.  I kind of went outside of the box, as I am know to do and decided to use it on a gift tote I was making for a friend.

I was using a different camera to snap the picture so you can't really see the detail; however, if you visit Inktegrity's blog you can really see how adorable (and versatile) this image is.  The tote was something I just came up with.  I put Pepperidge Farm Milano milk chocolate cookies inside. I thought that this made a cute Happy Harvest Day gift and I hope the recipient felt the same way.  Make sure you stop by Inktegrity's blog on the 10th to check out all the awesome images Joni has come up with.  TFL!

Rapunzel

Greetings!

I hope this post finds you doing well.  Here's one of my latest creations which I had thought about doing when I first saw the sentiment from Create w/TLC.  However, I didn't have  an image of Rapunzel until Sassy Studio Designs came out with one (I think they read my mind).  lol

Anyway, again in order to create this card I had to "draw" and I use that word very very loosely, because I can't draw. I created the entire background for this card and left the actual drawing to the professionals. I ran out of the good paper, so I will definitely make this card again. This paper wasn't smooth enough, so her cheeks are extra red and the stones didn't come out as blended as the last time I did them on the "a day for daisies" card. I could sit here and pick out other faults with my card, but I am not going to, because as I said I had this idea in my head for a while and I'm glad to free up some space for other ideas. *giggl* TFL!

A day for daises "Lots of Layers" Challenge #3

Greetings beautiful people!

Okay, this week over at at "a day for daisies" we are having our third challenge and with the cool Fall weather here, you need to put on lots of layers. My creation was truly a challenge within a challenge. I have had some serious personal problems going on and I am thankful for all the prayers, because God truly heard them. I thank God for his mercy and grace.

I had this image colored and ready to go a while ago; however, I looked at it and didn't like how I colored it, so I colored it again...and again...and again...just to end up using the first image I colored.lol Please tell me that this has happened to others. LOL Anyways, this image caught my eye the first time I visited Tammy's store, but I didn't purchase it immediately. However, when I did purchased I immediately envisioned how I wanted to use it. The first thing I wanted to do was to place this beauty on top of something. Since, I can't draw (not even stick figures) I was stumped until the idea to draw a brick wall came to mind. Here's my drawing (don't laugh)...

This was the first layer of my card. I don't know why it looks wobbly here, because it doesn't look that way in my card. lol My second layer was "wildflowers" from Make it Crafty and then the final and most important layer was "Star Flower Girl." When I saw her she reminded me so much of myself (I think because she's curvy as well). lol I imagined that she was sitting out on her brick wall and a secret admirer snaps a picture of her. *giggl* Well, now that I have set the mood...here she is..."Lady on the wall." TFL!

Okay, I showed you my creation, now head over to the challenge blog and show me yours. If you haven't joined us over at "a day for daisies" CDAC group, what are you waiting for?

Inktegrity Challenge 16: Fav Fall Colors

Greetings beautiful people!

I am always tempted now as an adult to jump in a pile of leaves.  Sure I may break my leg or hip, but the temptation is still there. Inktegrity kicked off another challenge and this time you are to use your favorite Fall colors and create a card.   I've had some serious personal problems going on so I am posting my creation late.  I would like to take this opportunity to thank Joni (the fab artist of the Inktegrity images) for being so understanding.  I am thankful to God for his mercy and grace that everything worked out.

In order to create my card I used several papers and colors (afterall it is a color challenge). :-)  I'm sure you have some fall papers stashed away, so pull them out and get to creating some wonderful.  You can post her card here.  While your at the site make sure you check out the beautiful creations from the other design team members (and leave some love) or click on their links on the sidebar. ------->
Also, you should stop by the store and check out these adorable images.  TFL!
