ADFD new releases and "Oh Baby" Challenge...

Greetings!

It's Friday!!  Woohoo!  Thanks to God, I survived a crazy week.  I am going to get right down to business with this post.  Today is new releases and challenge Friday over at ADFD.  Tammy has put together some beautiful images for you with Mother's Day just around the corner you will want to get a few of these for those extra special mothers in your life.

Today also kicks off another challenge.  We are asking for you to pull out the pacifiers, grab the baby wipes and create a baby card.   Everyone loves a baby so let's get sentimental together. Show us your best baby design including a sentiment that melts your (and everyones elses) heart!  The challenge begins on April 29th-and ends on May 5th.

Here's my creation.  I used my favorite bible scripture as my sentiment on the inside which is 1 Corinthians 13:4-7.

If you like what you see, which I know you do, head over to the store and pick these adorable images up.  Have a FAB Friday and make sure that you head over to the challenge blog to enter your creation!

Okay, I have one more thing to tell you about.  We have a new DT that has joined us...Janna!  She was our GDT for this month and Tammy invited her to continue on with us and she said, Yes!!  We are so happy to have her with us.

Now get to creating...

Nettie G's Digital Gem Challenge- It's a bugs life?!!

Greetings!

I pray you all had a blessed Easter!  I got to spend the day with my two nieces who never fail to keep me in stitches with their matter-a-fact wit.  We went to church and then out to eat at Red Lobster which is their favorite place to dine.  I realized that they are getting so grown up (notice I didn't say that I was getting older) and I really have to make sure that I have more lil moments like that with them.

Well, today kicks off another challenge over at Nettie G's Digital Gem.  We had an awesome turn out last challenge and hope to have the same this week.  This week we are focused on Bugs and Plants for this challenge.  Yep, creepy crawly bugs have taken over the challenge blog.  This week make a creation with bugs and plants on it.  Any bug digi AND any HANDMADE plant.

Here's my creation using Nettie's gorgeous butterfly.  Look closely and you may just find someone looking back at you. lol

Did you see the person?  Isn't that cool?!  Anyways, you can pick this image up at Nettie's store.  I made a flower out of paper to add to my creation which represents my "plant." :-D

Use any image and you get one entry.  Use a NettieG image and get two entries.  Use the featured image and get three entries.

You have a TON of chances to win some great images so I don't mena to "bug" you but you should join us.

ADFD new release - I kissed a frog and...

Greetings!

Happy Friday!  My apologies for this post going up so late; however, I have been at the hospital all day.  My sister had emergency outpatient surgery and now I am playing nurse. lol  I don't hear her complaining so I must be doing an okay job. :-D

Well, today is new release day over at A Day for Daisies and the images are toad-ally awesome!  Tammy has created images based off the beautiful fairytale of the Princess Frog.  These gorgeous creations are truly enchanting and were a real challenge for me.  I created my card four times before deciding to use this creation.  I love the Kissing Frog image because of the possibilities and the story behind it.

I decided to paperpiece her dress using this beautiful e-paper from Paulette over at Create with TLC.  I loved the way it looked.  I also use the Frog Prince image from the new release collection.  The sentiment was created by me and I think it speaks to this image.

Well, my nursing duties call so I have to get back to work.  I THANK you for stopping and checking out these adorable images.  Head over to the store and pick them up or join the club and get these and so much more for a very reasonable price.

ADFD New Release & Dots and Stripes Challenge #16

Greetings!

Woohoo!! Friday is finally here!  This has been a rollercoaster of a week.  I have a rollercoaster of a weekend ahead of me as well.  Well, enough about me and on to the FUN!

Today not only is new release day over at ADFD, but also the challenge.  Congrats to the winner and THANK YOU to all that come out and play with us.   We truly appreciate it!!  Tammy has us seeing stripes and dots for this challenge.  Yep, the battle that we have all been waiting for starts today and ends April 28th, are you a stripe or dot kinda gal? Which one do you prefer? Show us in your paper creation!

To ignite your creativity, here's my creation using this gorgeous set "In love with books."  I truly am in love with books.  One of my nicknames is "bookworm" (you would think with a name like Candy I really don't need a nickname-lol).  I can read in a car, I can read the back of a jar, I read on the road, I read about a toad, I can read in my bed, hmmm...proably can't read on my head...I JUST LOVE TO READ.  (Sorry for the Dr. Suess moment-*gigl*).  Okay, enough tomfoolery...here's my creation...

Okay, as you can see I am a stripe kinda ladies.  I have nothing against the dots either, but stripes remind me of the rainbow. :-D  Isn't this "Coloring in my book" image oober cute?  I had a blast creating this card and I hope you enjoy seeing it.  So which is your favorite...dots or stripes?  Show me in your creation when you join us for the challenge.

Nettie G's Favorites Challenge

Greetings!

It's time for a new challenge and I think everyone will like it.  This week Ms. G is asking that you  pull out your favorite colors and image and create a card.  Yep, use your favorite DIGI and color.  You can't get any easier than this, right?

Just remember...you can use any image you want.  All entries get one entry in the prize drawing.

Use a NettieG image and get two entries in the prize drawing.  There is no featured image this challenge.

Here's the image I used...

I used the gorgeous Mother and Child image.  I wanted to try something different so I printed it on Kraft paper using blue ink.  I like the way it turned out.  This is going to be a Mother's Day card for a friend.

Make sure you head over to Nettie's store and pick up an image and then enter it in the challenge

ADFD New Release - Fancy Pants

Greetings!

TGIF and ADFD new releases!!  Isn't it funny how we abbreviate everything now.  I imagine when my little seven year old niece is my age (in 30 years) it will be an oddity to speak in complete sentences and write complete words.  lol  They will create a new language that consist of only acronyms.

Anyways, this week Tammy has created images that may make you blush. *gigl* However, immediately I thought that some of them were perfect for a Breast Cancer Walk scrapbooking fundraiser that I am attending in a couple weeks.  I was asked to create tentcards for this event and Tammy's images will work with them perfectly.

Here's the new release images...

It's funny that she titled them "fancy pants," because that is a term my co-worker uses for a pair of pants I have that are bejewled with rhinstones on the backside.  *gigl*  I stopped wearing them for fear that all that bling made me look like a walking jewerly store. LOL!  Okay, sorry I digress...here's my creation using one of the images.

Head over to the store and pick up some of these images.

Thanks for looking...

Show-Off Sunday with Create with TLC...

Greetings!

I am going to do a quick post, because I'm a bit under the weather.  It is freezing cold here and it's snowing, raining, sleeting, and hailing (at the same time).  Aargh!!  I'm not complaining I just need some constant warmth and sunshine real soon.

Anyways, I wanted to show off some creations I created using awesome images/sentiments from Paulette over at Create with TLC.  I know that you all have heard me go on and on about how kind and generous she is with her creations.  Well, it is all true and now she has started to do background images.  I showed you a creation using one of her background images in an earlier post and I have a couple more here to share with you.

You can pick up these awesome backgrounds from Paulette's store.  She just added some new ones and starting now, and ending tomorrow afternoon........Buy two of the new sets.... Set 11, 12 or 13And get a third BACKGROUND set of your choice for FREE~!  Purchase the two sets, and email Paulette which set you would like for free.  You can't beat this deal!  At least I can't so I am headed over to pick up some more background images.  See you there...

Oh before I go, here's another card I did using two of Paulette's sentiments (one on the chalkboard) and Sassy Studio Designs image.  Thanks for stopping by my tiny slice of the blogosphere...come back soon. :-D

Blog Awards...

Greetings!

I wanted to take a moment to THANK two very special people Bri @  Beauty Blogger Bri and Trina @ Trina Makes Stuff.  These to e-buddies were kind enough to pass on two awards to me...

I truly appreciate these gifts and apologize for the delay in responding.  It is difficult to post during the week for  me with work and school and stuff, but I am very appreciated.  I think everything there is to know about me is located over there---------------------------------------------------------->

I would add to that list my LOVE of reading, writing, and poetry.  I know the rules state that I must now choose some individuals and let them know that they have been chosen.  Instead, being the rule bender that I am, I believe that ALL my e-buddies deserve these honors and I hope to continue to get-to-know you even more.

Again, thanks BRI and TRINA, you both are awesome!!

Scrapper's Delight...

Greetings (again)!

You know I announced earlier this week (or last week) that I was joining a couple other design teams?  Well, allow me to introduce you to the Scrapper's Delight.  When Janice, the owner, approached me about working with her images I was hesistant, because I wasn't sure how it would mesh with cardmaking.  I am so glad that she assured me that her images would work well with what I do...because she was right.

Today she is releasing this adorable  kit "The Great Egg Hunt."  This kit is packed full of gorgeous images already pre-colored and awaiting your imagination and creativity to bring them to life.

I told you there were beautiful images here and Janice gives you a hybrid of fanciful fantasy images as well as real pictures of bunnies, eggs, ribbon and more!!  You will want to hop over to the store and pick this up.  Here's my two creations using this awesome set.

Okay, you can head over to the store and make your purchase and tell 'em Candy sent you.

Also, if you would like to be part of Janice's awesome Creative Team, just leave a comment here with your name and email addy and I will forward it to her.  I would love to have you join me on this creative journey.  :-D

ADFD New Release and "Stitching" Challenge

Greetings!

Wow, it is Friday already (not complaining)!  It is also April Fool's Day. lol  I use to be really good at pranking people on April Fool's Day.  One time I got my sister really good.  She's this oober talented artist and I called her up one day and pretended that I was from this prestigous art school in New York.  I told her that I just had to have her come to my school.  LOL...she fell for it and me and my other siblings got quite the laugh out of that one.  My mother on the otherhand didn't find it funny.  Nor did my my sister...it took 20 something years later for her to see the humor. :-D

Oh well, today is the new release over at ADFD and it kicks off the challenge.  This week's challenge begins today and ends April 14th.  The theme is "In Stitches." Here's a chance to dust off that old sewing needle and show us your skill. Add stitches to your creation. For those who don't own a needle (or care to dust it off) I have seen some pretty impressive hand drawn stitches, and let's not forget about fantastic rub-ons!

As usual, Tammy has outdone herself with the gorgeous images.  She has created the cutest little easter images for us to play with this week.  I chose to play with the Easter Babies.  I call my creation "Eggstra Special Delivery"....

I love Easter for all that it represents and because gorgeous "happy" colors are associated with Easter and Spring.  I tried to capture that in my creation.  The image reminded me of Anne Geddes photo.  The little babies are posed so perfectly in this eggshell.  I feathered the copic colors on the eggshell to give the look of a dyed egg.  I also took a glaze pen and went over it to give it a shine.  As far as my stitching goes, you can't really see it but it is on the sparkling dp and the ribbon (honest-lol).

Sooo...I showed you my stitching now I want to see what you can do.  Head over to the store and purchasing one (or two, three, four, etc.) of these cuties (or use an ADFD image you already have) and join us for this week's challenge.  See you there...

I will add my recipe this evening.

Challenges:
Charisma Cardz Challenges: Bling and Sparkles
Lili of the Valley: Spring
Paper Romance Challenge: Bling

Now get to stitching...
