ADFD New Release and "Texture" Challenge

Greetings!

Happy last day of September!  Where did the year go?  It is a blustery, rainy, cold Autumn day here in Michigan.  I have the honor and pleasure of sharing with you the new release image from ADFD which is titled "Fall Cuties" and once you see them you will know why.  Today also kicks off our "Gimmie Some Texture" challenge and you don't want to miss out playing along.

Recipe:
Image:  ADFD "Cloud Watching"
Sentiment:  ME!
DP:  Digital paper from Jessica Sprague
Ink:  Copics
Diecuts:  Spellbinders Square, rectangle and circle
Embellishments: White fluff and Cuttlebug "Dots" embossing folder

Since this week's challenge is all about texture, I added some fluff to the clouds and embossed a layer of cardstock.  I love this image a lot, because me and my sisters use to layout in the field across from our house and say what the clouds look like. *gigl*  Now as adult I imagine that you could place all your cares on a cloud and they will sail right bye you.  Maybe it is like an assembly line.  You place them there and God picks them off and takes care of them for you. lol  Okay, there I go again.  Anyway, this set has some adorable images in them and you will have a BLAST coloring them up.

You can pick this set or image up at the ADFD store.  Make sure that once you get your image, color it up, add texture and submit it in our ADFD challenge.  If you ever want to know what we are up to at ADFD, then you can find us on PCP, CDAC, The Crafter's Cafe, and FB.  We would love to have you come over and chat with us.

I have entered this card in the The Paper Players sketch challenge.

Is it Friday yet?

Greetings!

I know it is Sunday, but Friday gives me something to look forward to. lol  This is just a quick card I whipped up because I thought that the image and wordart were meant for each other.  We really should cherish everyday as it comes, because none of them are promised to us.  Sooo...go out and enjoy today with the one(s) you love. :-)

Torico's Monsters

Greetings!

Happy Saturday!  I want to share with you the Good, Bad and Different monsters (name I gave them) created by Torico.  Torico is so generous that you can get these cuties for free.  However, please make sure that you leave some love.  I can't draw a stick person so I am very appreciative when someone who can decides to share thier work with me. lol

I was still on a digi paper high when I decided to paperpiece these little ones.

I have another idea for these little guys so don't be surprised if you see them again in the very near future.

ADFD New Release - Dragons??!!

Greetings!

Candy here, reporting from dreary Michigan.  Happy first day of Fall!!  I refuse to let the weather determine my attitude.  My I-Pod is cranking out my jams and I am going to choose to be happy as a lark.  Wanna join me?  I dare you too. lol

Anyways, I am here to share with you the new release from ADFD and Tammy has come up with the cutest little fire breathing creatures I've ever seen.  Yep, we have dragons!!  Oh, when I saw them I thought they were just too adorable for words.  Today I will be sharing two creations using the Dragon's eggs with you.  My first creation is called "Dragon Egg."

I attempted to use the color palette from Arielle's ColorQ.  I don't know if it worked, but if you are ever stuck on a color scheme for your projects, you should check it out.

Fairy Doodler "Soul Momma"

Greetings!

I hope your Thursday is going well.  I wanted to post a quick post using this oober cool and adorable image from FairyDoodler called "Bloomin' Gorgeous."  I changed her name to "Soul Momma" (sorry FairyDoodler), but she just reminded me of the coolest soul momma and of my sister (although she isn't pregnant). lol  I will definitely be using her over and over again, because I love her vibe.

ADFD New Release and "Gifty" challenge

Greetings!

Wow...it's Friday...again...already!!  I am not complaining because this week has been a rollercoaster of craziness for me.  So I am so happy to get off this ride! *gigl*  I am sharing with you today the New Release "Tiny Teacups" from ADFD along with a gift box I designed (will make a tutorial for anyone interested).  Before I post my creation, I must apologize for the picture.  I made the dreadful mistake of allowing my nephew to see my camera and I don't know what he did, but let's just say it wasn't performing as well.

Mr. Caden (a.k.a. "The Bully")

I know "what was I thinking?," but look at those eyes.  Heck, I would give the kid my wallet stuffed full with cash (if I had a wallet stuffed full of cash). lol  Well, enough with excuses and on with the creations and the exciting way you can win awesome image from Tammy.  Using the Teacup Fairy, "Extra Cream" I created a gift box to hold hot chocolate (truly it can hold anything from candy to jewlery).  I call it the "C" Box.  I love trying to design complete gift giving items.  Therefore, this box could be the card, the gift and gift holder all in one!

Okay, here's the box cover.  I cleaned this up some so it does look a little better.  Anyway, I added the "Love Birds" from Tammy's images on the front of the cup.  I used a glaze pen to fill in the cream to add texture to it.  The angel wings are stickled and I used a popped dot to make the image stand out.

This is the inside cover fo the box.  I created a sentiment that reads "May your cup runneth over with the sweeter things in life."  As you can see, there is a compartment for you to put your gift goodies.  I was able to put two packets of hot chocolate with marshmallows inside of mine.

I showed my sister (who is a baker and candy maker) and she wants me to make her some for her goodies.  I created this particular box at 10:30ish on Tuesday night so after stepping back and looking at it I definitely have some tweaks to make to it.  However, once that is done, I will post a tutorial for it.

Now, on to how you can get your hands on this little cutie and so many more.  You can start by heading over to the ADFD store.  Once you have your image, then how about joining us for this week's challenge "Get Gift~y".  We are asking that you make a beverage related "gift" - it could be a teabag holder card or a little box or whatever!   Also, join us on PCP, CDAC and FB for the latest news about all things ADFD!!

Scrapper's Delights "Baby Girl" kit

Greetings!

Today I'm posting something a little out of the norm for me....scrapbook pages.  When people would ask me "do you scrapbook?"  I would respond, "no, I make cards."  However, recently I have been discovering digital scrapbooking.  I love using the elements from digital scrapbooking kits in my cards so this transition was logical.

About a week ago I became a Great-Aunt again.  My nephew and his wife (who live in Texas) gave birth to a 4 lb. 12 ounce baby girl name Aaliyah Rose.  She is a tiny little cutie like her mother and we are so happy that she is healthy and doing well.  I will be using these pages to put a digital book together for the proud parents and my sister (the grandmother).

These were so much fun to put together and easy using Scrapper's Delights Design kit Sweet "Baby girl" and also "Egg Hunt."  I can't wait to get time to make some more pages.  You can check out these kits and so much more here at Scrapper's Delights store.  These kits are packed with so many goodies.  Also, join in on the challenges to win some cool prizes.

EarthArt International Bear & Dolphin

Greetings!

I'm sharing with you today two projects I made using EarthArt Internationals "Bear" and "Dolphin" which you can find at ScrapOrchard.

The first project is a journal/photo book.  My sister is planning a trip to the Zoo with my little nieces and nephew, so I thought it would be nice to create this book for them to keep track of what they saw and what they thought of the animals.  The beautiful Bear image from EA has several gorgeous animals that they may see while at the zoo.  They'll get a kick out of this.  I just took some scrap papers and punched holes in them using my Crop-a-dile.  I made the cover from cardstock (came with the zigzag edges), the dp is a summer beach paper from Best Creations Inc., and I colored the bear with Copics.

This wall hanging was created on the computer.  I used papers from JBullock's "Coastal Waters" on Scrap Orchard to creating a backdrop for the beautiful "Dolphin" from EA.  I colored the dolphin in PSE and got the quote online that seemed to work well with this scene.

So, there you have it!  Thanks for stopping bye.  I truly appreciate it.

Kenny K Vintage Grunge Challenge

Greetings!

I wanted to share some cards I made using Kenny K's Steam Punk diva"Helga Frost."  I have tried to steer away from Steam Punk images, because they seemed so strange to me.  I was use to working with cute little kids, animals and whimsical fairies and angels.  However, once I saw Kenny K's Steam Punk line, I knew I wanted to give them a try.  Here's a couple creations I came up with.

I am entering the top one in Kenny K's challenge.  The challenge is to create a Vintage Grunge card.  I am not really familiar with grunge, but I hope this is a good interpretation of it.

Thanks for looking...

ADFD - Christmas in September?

Greetings from sunny Michigan where the tempature is 92 degrees and rising and it isn't even noon yet! lol

Today I bring you Tammy's new line of Christmas images and they are awesome!  However, before I get to that I want to send a prayer to all my East Coast peeps who are trying to piece together their lives after the horrible storm.  I prayer that power is restored godspeed and some resemblance of a normal life begins to emerge.  You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Last week, I shared with you a Halloween scene and this week I want to share with you a Christmas scene.  Christmas is my second favorite holiday to Thanksgiving.  I love Thanksgiving so much because my dad (who passed away several years ago) loved Thanksgiving.  It was a time when all the family came together and we reflected on the events of the year.  *heart u daddy*

Well, there were so many beautiful images to choose from, but I chose the winter wonderland scene.

I decided that this is the scene that I would like to look at while sitting cozy on the couch with the fireplace roaring and a cup of hot chocolate in my hand.  lol  I am a very visual person.

Well head over to the store and create your own scene with any of Tammy's wonderful images.  Also, check us out on FB, PCP and CDAC.

Now get to creating,
